Icemaker not working, random streams of water from water dispenser

Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FFSS2615TS0
Main Symptom: Icemaker not working; random streams of water from water dispenser
What happens & when: Just moved into a new place with an FFSS2615TS0 fridge. Icemaker worked fine, then stopped working. I replaced the icemaker and water valve with OEM parts. Now the icemaker still isn’t working, but the water dispenser shoots water randomly for several seconds if the icemaker wire is in the on position. It will stop if I flip it to the off position. The water dispenser works normally otherwise.

Hi, I would start by checking the wire terminals. It sounds like they may be connected backwards. Double-check the wiring and make sure each terminal is connected to the correct location.

@Jose…Do you mean on the valve wiring harnesses? I matched them up color-wise (yellow, green, brown) but I will check again.

yes i would double check i have ran in to the similar situation

Ha ha! I had accidentally reversed the brown water tube and the yellow one. Connected them to their respective color coded valves and everything works fine now. Ice for everyone! Thanks!

lol you’re welcome i had a hunch that was the issues.
