Ice maker overfills causing ice bin to freeze in the ice room

Main Symptom: ice tray overfills
What happens & when: ice bucket freezes inside the ice room and you have to let it thaw before removing it, or risk breaking it.

Error Code (if any): none
Parts or tests already tried: replaced a) entire ice maker assy. with LG PN = AEQ73130004 and Water Inlet Valve = LG AJU72992603, same issue with new parts. No apparent mech. or electronic adjustment for ice tray water fill level ???

These had an issue with the fill tube getting out of position and causing it to splash or overflow. I’ve attached screenshots of the repair guide for the issue, see if this helps.
