Ice make tray water slightly shoots over tray at a singular point when being filled

Brand: Frigidaire Gallery
Model Number: FGHS2655PF4
Main Symptom: Ice maker leaks from ice tray
What happens & when: When water enters the ice maker tray from the back of the tray via water “router”/conduit (that is filled by the pipe in the back of freezer,) some water (not allot, but enough to cause issues when it freezes) will flow out the front of the tray at the exact point it is being filled from the back of the tray. This leakage stops once the water stops entering the tray. Also, cubes easily get stuck (frozen) behind the bin sweeper that controls/measures how much ice is in the bin/whether to make more ice. YouTube video below perfectly exemplifies my problem with the leak. I followed the video’s recc to remove the curved plastic piece. Water still runs over as described above. I also followed your phone rep’s advice to turn water fill adjustment screw a full clockwise turn to lower the amount of water that fills. I’m doubting this will help. This problem started occurring a little over a year ago.

How high is your home water pressure? You can try to turn down the water pressure by adjusting the valve where the water line from the fridge attaches to the house main.

I will try that. A parts company adviser suggested I turn don the amount of water going into the tray. We’ll see. Ty!
