Ice bucket latch opener keeps spinning and wont stop

Main Symptom: ICE BUCKET LATCH WONT STOP SPINNING
What happens & when: The ice bucket latch opener just keeps spinning and will not stop, this is not the auger inside the ice bucket, but there is a mechanisim under the ice bucket that spins to open the ice latch on the bottom of the bucket.

Error Code (if any): none.
Parts or tests already tried: replaced complete ice maker assembly

The lever at the bottom of the bin that will open the ice door on the bin would be part of the bin. If the piece that activates that is the issue then the panel that holds it and is in the following link.

thank you I tried to replace that part in your link already but the piece that activates the lever still just spins constantly. is there a switch that could be stuck closed causing voltage to always be present. if so what switch controls that device.
