I replaced the ice maker and the Main board of the refrigerator. What else could be the problem?

Main Symptom: Ice maker only makes ice when I press the reset button
What happens & when: Ice Maker makes ice when I press the reset button on the ice maker. I replaced the ice maker and the Main board of the refrigerator. What else could be the problem?

Parts or tests already tried: Replaced ice make and main refrigerator board

When it makes ice using the reset or test button, does the ice get ejected from the ice maker automatically or does it stay in the the ice maker until the next time you manually run it?

When I press the reset/test button it ejects the ice that is already made.

There is an ice level sensor built into the auger motor assembly DA97-12540G, if that goes bad it will stop the unit from making ice but doesn’t give any error codes. I’d replace that, it is only serviceable as part of that auger motor assembly.
