My Electrolux Model EFMG617STT0 dryer was purchased on 2017. Recently it began making loud rumbling noise. The blower check out ok. It was the roller pulley. I purchased 5 new rollers but I am having trouble assembling because the old set up if different than the new parts. The new parts do not include washers or nylon clips. It has a dome silver spacer and none of the online videos or tutorials show how to set up the spacer on the bolt to install. The trouble I am having is that the nut when screwed on fits snug against the roller and when the roller spins so does the nut and it unthreads itself. I am needing help troubleshooting how to correctly install the dryer roller using the new OEM parts.

Did you order an OEM part (Frigidaire 5304523155 Dryer Drum Roller Assembly | Genuine OEM Part) ? If so the plastic spacer that is dome shaped goes on between the roller and nut, with the wider end towards the nut. The narrower end rides against the bearing of the roller and shouldn’t turn when the roller does
Yes they are OEM parts . My understanding is that the wide part of the spacer sits flush against the rear bulkhead. Then the roller then the nut. I will try what you have recommended
OK, I’m following everything that you’re saying, but here’s the problem. There’s not enough room to screw the nut on when the threaded side is facing the front of the dryer.
When I reversed it so that the threaded side was facing the back of the dryer, it worked perfect
Ok yes this is what I ended up doing and it worked!! Thank you so very much. There’s just not a lot of online videos that show spacer assembly because my dryer used the old nylon clip’s originally. Most of the YouTube videos still show the nylon assembly. Much much appreciated.
