I can't get my new dryer switch to let ck into place

Main Symptom:new start switch installation issue.
What happens & when: when trying to turn the new switch clockwise into place, I can get it almost all the way to the end, but, it gets stuck and won’t move.

Iam wondering if I don’t have it lined up correctly. Am I supposed to align in the top and bottom tabs of the switch before turning?

I’m not finding DBXR45GA2WW but I do see a DBXR453GA2WW. Do you happen to have the part # of the switch you put on?

Hi Rory, yes, your model number is correct. I was missing a letter. The part # I purchased was WE4X881. Below is a picture of where I’m stuck at.

I clicked the bottom tab into place and turned it clockwise to lock it into place, but, it gets stuck at the spot below.

Hi! I looked at this video before I installed it., my issue is that my switch gets stuck at the spot in the picture above and won’t turn any further. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.

From the video the switch probably needs to go up higher to lock in place! That u shape should be were the RED line is then turn clockwise.

I tried it and almost got it, but it didn’t lock into place.! I’ll keep trying! Thank you for the suggestion!!
