On the GE Monogram ZISS480NRCS, the compressor/inverter assembly is up in the top machine compartment. GE lists this model family as the 48-inch built-in Monogram made around 2004–2008.
If you’ve already unplugged the refrigerator and disconnected the inverter wiring but the inverter won’t pull off the compressor, don’t force it yet. There is usually a retaining screw/clip or locking arrangement holding the inverter housing to the compressor terminals; after that is released, the inverter pulls straight away from the compressor’s three terminal pins. Rocking it hard can damage those pins.
From my experience if you carefully bend the pilot tube (the one with the cap on it) far enough to free the dark grey piece at the bottom you can then carefully wiggle the inverter out. If not let me know
Oh. Is the dark grey box the inverter? Or the light grey one? Either way, I can’t see how to unlock the locking mechanism
The light grey one is the inverter
You may also have to loosen or remove the compressor mounting bolts and gently move the compressor to give yourself a little more room
