My whirlpool dishwasher has slowly started to howl during the wash cycles. It is now so loud I don’t think it is safe to run. I think it is the wash pump but am not sure. I can feel the motor running when I stick my hand under the washer. I don’t think it is the motor since it runs and is quiet between wash cycles. I have looked at the parts diagram on the website but am confused on which part would be the pump I might need. Please let me know what you think…
Order a #10 thats the motor and pump impeller, This is the WASH motor, The other motor and pump is to DRAIN the unit!!!

So I purchased a new wash pump through this website at a great price and changed it out tonight. All it took was putting the dishwasher on its side, removing a bolt that secures the motor and twisting the motor off. The new motor when on just as easy and now the dishwasher is as quiet as it was when I bought it. Thanks for your help!!! This website is awesome.
