I have taken off the motor and assembly but I cant get them to come apart. How do I remove the motor from the motor assembly?

Michael,

Why do you need to do it?

The model number you posted does not come up. Verify and repost it please.

GE model GSD500x-66WB. It’s leaking.

I’m assuming that you are going to install the new impeller and seal kit.

If the pump was leaking long time then the bottom screw holding the pump to the motor is very likely rusted and it is very hard to remove it. Also the impeller is screwed onto the motor shaft and they can be rusted together. In such case it’s impossible to take them apart and you have to replace the whole pump and motor assembly.
