How to prevent the freezer drain from freezing and leaking water into the fridge section in my Kenmore refrigerator, Model #106-73182300. I have serviced the frozen drain hose; but want to diagnose the cause to prevent future occurrences

Thank you. Is this a common issue with the is model? Also, are there other components that typically fail that cause this leak or is this am design idiosyncrasy that is fixed with the drain kit you mentioned?

I noticed my model number isn’t included in the list of models that use this part. I also noticed that these are for upright freezers and my kenmore is a refrigerator/freezer.

No need to respond. I did a search on YouTube and learned that this is a common problem that is remedied by using a probe in the drain tube that gets its heat source from the coil heater. Thanks for the help!
