How do I get a software update for my replaced LG lmxs30796s refrigerator control board?

Main Symptom: need to replace main control board
What happens & when: my PCB is dead so I will buy a new one and replace it. However, I already have a replaced linear compressor in it which I believe requires that the a software on the control board be updated after the control board is replaced. How do I get the software update which I believe requires a special jig not available to a DIYer?

Hello, and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, accessing or installing the current software version with a rewriter jig would require an LG-authorized technician. The software is only made available to servicers who have access to LG’s service network, so it is not something that can be downloaded or installed by the public.
