Hotpoint pop up from inside bottom sprayer arm broken

I have attached a picture of the part that broke on the dishwasher. Does anyone know if this can be repaired, if so, what part(s) should be ordered and how do I remove the broken part?

PS I noted the DW as more than 10 years old, actually I do not know the age but since everything in the house was original I figured the DW probably is older as well.
