I hope I get an answer here, I see lots of posts go unanswered.
My dryer has had little to no heat and I’ve replaced the thermostat and the thermostat heater. I checked the thermal fuse with my digital meter and got .3 with it set on the lowest setting. I bypassed the thermal fuse and it heats for 15-20 seconds and I hear a click (relay) and the heating element goes out. Dryer keeps running and heat does not resume. I will check the Upper Limit Thermostat next.
Update, upper limit thermostat also shows .3 with digital meter. I ran the dryer without it for 5 minutes and it heated as it should. The UL Thermostat can’t be working properly If it reaches the limit in 20 seconds and doesn’t let it reheat at all for the next 60 minutes. some help here please?
Thanks

Have you run the dryer and checked the heat, with the exhaust vent disconnected ? If the vent sytem is restricted or clogged, it will cause the hi limit thermostat to open and turn the heat off prematurely.
If this has been an ongoing problem for a while, you’ll want to consider repalcing the hi limit switch anyway, it’s not designed to operate as a cycling thermostat, and may be weak.

Well I disassembled, and cleaned the vent which was in pretty good shape, put every thing back together and it works?! We’ll see how long and I will replace the ULT soon as well. Thanks updates as it’s needed.
Great,
Thanks for the update, you may want to get that thermostat as soon as possible.
