Brand: GE
Model Number: WNSR2100T5WW
Main Symptom: won’t agitate (belt doesn’t rotate), but can drain and spin (belt moves)
I have a top-load GE washer with model number WNSR2100T5WW. I got it from its previous owner when I bought my house. It is an old model but it worked great until recently.
I opened its front panel and did some initial diagnosis. It can drain and spin. When it spins, the motor and the belt run smoothly. But in the agitate cycle, it does not agitate (the belt doesn’t move, the motor’s central axis rotates but its body is still). See the picture I took for the bottom part of the washer.
From other posts, I feel if it is the agitator coupler problem, the belt should move, but it does not. That is why I am puzzled.
Could someone help me diagnose the problem? Thank you very much!
