GE Washer Will Not Agitate in COTTON Cycle

GE Washer Model: WBB4500E1WW

Problem: Machine will NOT agitate in the COTTONS (NORMAL/FAST) cycle.
It WILL agitate in EASY CARE (GENTLE/FAST), DELICATES (GENTLE/SLOW), CASUALS (PULSED/SLOW) cycles. Also, the clothes seem to be a bit wet after the final spin cycle.

I have ‘power cycled’ the machine a few times and nothing changes. I have tried to run the washer with no clothes and it still will not operate in that mode.

What was the final resolution? I have a similar model (WBB4500G0WW) with the same problem. Ugh…

I have not received one response. I really do hope to get help from this site. I do not want to throw away money by ‘guessing’ at what is at fault here.

Please let me know if you learn anything on this item.
