GE Washer not draining or spinning, but will agitate and fill
Have towels ready, because there will be water involved. The pump is the small motorized component with the hoses attached to it. Unplug the machine (Water and electricity really DO mix…and it’s DEADLY.). Detatch the hoses from the pump and the tub. Check those places for items of clothing, lint clogs, or other foreign material that can block the drainage. The pump is anchored by one or two screws and the wire connector. Remove the pump and look into it for foreign material.

Remove the blockages that you might find and re-connect everything. Check the operation of the machine. It will run with the front panel off, so you can observe it.

If it drains after removing any clogs, You’re done. Tell us what you find.
I took your advice and so far so good! There was the cotton from inside of the pillow blocking the pump. I have only finished the load that wouldn’t drain and did one test run! But it has been a success thus far! Thank You!

Thank you as well this worked for me!

This is really cool I think I have a similar problem I will go through the same process to see if that fixes my machine
