Main Symptom: washer doesn’t complete drain cycle due to drain motor smoking and starting to burn out.
What happens & when: washer starts and runs through the wash cycle just fine and tub starts to drain properly but part way through drain cycle the (original) drain motor starts to smoke, draining cycle stops but motor continues to try to drain, motor still smokes and is burning out. I replaced the drain motor with a new motor: appliancepartspros part #: AP5306354, started the washer and the exact same thing happened with the new motor. I ran a field service test looking for errors from the error codes table and did not find any errors. Any help is appreciated.

Parts or tests already tried: replaced drain motor with new one

Check the wiring and make sure that there is nothing that would keep the drain pump from turning.
