GE washer agitator is loose, floats off from the base up after washer fills with water

There should be a bolt that goes into the bottom of the agitator that most likely came loose and would need to be reinstalled. The bolt could be reinstalled with blue loctite.

I figured something like that. Looking at the diagram on here it shows an agitator base and auger as separate parts. Looks like a bolt goes into the agitator base. My problem is in my machine the base and auger are connected. How to separate those seems to be my hang up.

According to what I am seeing the top should separate from the base. Is there a seam down there. As far as if it is a solid agitator then pop the dispenser cover off and see if there is a bolt down in there.
