GE Triton Not Draining and in endless loop

Hi,

My GE Triton GSD5560G02SS is showing similar symptoms to this thread:

The water does not drain and the wash cycle never stops. The front lights cycle through and starts over.

I checked the piston and nut and they look fine. I checked the drain hose and it is not blocked. My guess is that the drain pump and/or the electrics (controller assembly?) are broken.

Should I get both parts and try to replace the pump to see if it resolves the issue? Or is is it definitely one or the other?
