The GE Potscrubber 640 dishwasher will wash only and will not cycle. The dishwasher will not drain water nor rinse.
I have replaced the Timer and the Cycle Switch with no change in operation. Any suggestions as to what is wrong?

The real problem was that the washer would not drain, which gave the appearance that the dishwasher was stuck in the wash cycle. The root cause was a failed drain solenoid, part number WD21X802. The drain solenoid coil failed open (coil measured infinite resistance with an ohm meter). The dishwasher operated properly after the solenoid was replaced.
