I have a 3 year old GE dishwasher model GLD5560L00SS and its leaking from under the bottom when it starts the wash cycle. Seems to be comimng from the center of bottom .. not sure if its motor?? it motor does not come on when cycle starts. please let me know what it may be .. is it pump or motor or other..
Most likely the problem is a bad pump seals (#430 on the diagram). You have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet and remove the pump & motor assembly to verify it.
The model number you posted does not come up. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for GE GLD5560L00SS | AppliancePartsPros.com, the closest model number I found.

Is this a hard DIY repair? Or if not is approximately how much does this type of repair cost.
What is the complete model number of the dishwasher?
What exactly is wrong with it?

It is a 3 yr old GE model GLD5560L00SS. It is leaking above the pump motor and dripping down onto the motor and then to the ground. It is still running though, just gets water everywhere. It seems as if the problem is getting worse – more water – than when we first noticed it.
We originally thought it was the gasket and have replaced it.

You can check the pump connector (#455 on the diagram) and its clamp. More likely the problem is a bad pump seals. In order to make sure what exactly is wrong I would remove the dishwasher from the cabinet.
