  • Was the retaining screw replaced with a new screw during the repair? The coupler should be secured properly to prevent slipping. Replacement screws are commonly used with this repair.

  • When the old coupler was removed, were any of the shaft splines worn, rounded, or damaged? Damaged splines can prevent the new coupler from engaging correctly.
