GE GT330ASK2WW won't fill, spin, or agitate

Main Symptom: won’t fill, spin, or agitate.
What happens & when:

My washer turns on but will not run a cycle. The water will spray the test sprays but then will not fill or proceed.

No fault codes shown.

In diagnostic mode, tested hot and cold water (good fill, no flow issues), drain pump, lid lock, etc. Washer does not pass spin or agitate diagnostic test. The lid will lock and show it’s locked, but then nothing happens (no noise or anything).

We tested continuity at the lid lock switch on the control board, and it looked faulty, so replaced the control board with a new part from APP. Still does not work.

We inspected drive belt and the white clutch assembly under the washer. both look fine. (I replaced the drive belt two years ago.)

-Washer does not display any fault codes. (I test it and it just goes to all LEDs blinking.)

-Everything on the control board passed continuity and voltage tests except for the lid lock harness. Our wire colors were different than Matt’s video but we think we tested it properly. It seemed like it never fluctuated at 120V properly, but we might have missed it.

Parts or tests already tried: replaced control board with part from APP.

OK-thanks! That seems like not a huge part to replace. This seems like it could explain the agitate/spin issue. Would that be causing it not to even fill with water at the start too? That’s what confuses me.

Is there a way to test that the shift actuator is faulty? Could it be the motor or some other mechanical part?

Thanks - I have the tech sheet in hard copy. I’m confused, though. What is your recommendation? To test it at the part itself?

We went through the helpful APP video made by Matt and tested the mode shifter motor and switch (that it was open in agitate and closed in spin) on the control board. It was fine.

Why would it not fill with water or start the cycle - shouldn’t the actuator just affect switching to agitate and spin?

Well can you command the valves on/off in the test cycle?

OK - my husband and I tried testing again and couldn’t tell whether the valves were successfully opening. It seems like not, as we couldn’t get it to display continuity on agitate. So, I’ll order this part! Hopefully it’s also what’s messing up the water fill issue.
