GE: GSH25JGDDBB Refridgerator Water Dispenser Port Line Access Help

Brand: GE
Model Number: GSH25JGDDBB
Main Symptom: Water Dispenser Port Line, broke at port!
What happens & when: The water dispenser line broke at the port where the water is dispensed! I was able to insert a 1/4x1/4 Barb Adapter in the line that is still in the dispenser! If that doesn’t, I will have to take the freezer door apart to replace the line, that is not avaiable through GE anymore! On these models, the water line runs under the fridge to a coupler, then to the freezer door… You can’t simply pull it out from the bottom. Seems lke it’s pressed in the door, and wrapped around some plastic insulation…. Is there anyway to separate the inner (white) part from the door to access the line! No screws! Looks like it’s pressed on. You can see some glue marks in between the outer and inner parts!

Is there anyway to get the doors apart safely? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

PS: Ice heater is working still great!

Much thanks to stay safe and warm!

Shawn

These model have a foamed in liner and the door is not designed to come apart.

David,

I thank you for your response! I know this is an annoying question…. But is there anyway to get the door apart to access the line?

I hope all is well and you and your family stay warm and safe this weekend!

All the best for it, and with much thanks,

shawn

There is always a way, use a Dremel cutting tool and cut your way into the liner, it will destroy the liner and you can use Great Stuff to seal it back up. It will look like crap but it can be done. My brother-in-law did that to his GE.
