GE gld4560n00ss not draining completely

Hello, I have a GE gld4560n00ss dishwasher. The other day I opened the dishwasher up to empty the dishes, and the water was up to the element. I had not noticed this happening previously, it seemed like the problem arose suddenly.
-I have tried cleaning the sump pump filter out, and found a couple pieces of plastic in it.
-I checked the drain line, and there were no issues there.
-Removed and inspected the drain line assembly.
-I tried removing the lower spray arm and starting a cycle and canceling it, but it still would not drain. (http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/dishwasher-repair/16487-ge-profile-dishwasher-wont-drain-completely.html)

Should I be looking at the sump pump or motor? Thanks for the input guys. Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.

Measure across the drain pump (item 325 in section 05) with a meter when it is supposed to be draining.

If you have 120 volts and it is not pumping out then the drain motor is bad.
If there is no voltage then odds are that the control board is shot.

The above assumes that the complete drain path is clean.

Did you check that the flapper valve (item 328 in section 05) is OK?

I did check the flapper valve and it was working well. I checked the power to the drain motor while it was supposed to be running and it had full voltage. I have ordered another motor. I will let you know if that fixes my problems, thanks!
