GE GFE28GYNGFS makes a humming noise then stops. Ran diagnostics but code is odd

Makes a hum noise for a few seconds then quits. Ran diagnostics and got 00 01 which is ice maker fz thermistor which I can’t tell what to do with that.

If the unit is humming and then shutting off every couple of minutes then this would likely be an issue with the start device.

I tried a relay from another fridge and had the same result. Is there any way I can be sure it’s not the capacitor that is a combo part with the relay?

The capacitor is just there for energy efficiency purposes. If the relay is good then it sounds like the run winding on the compressor would be faulty and need to replace the compressor which would require service.
