Brand: GE
Model Number: gfd55gspn0dg
Main Symptom: Not getting hot enough
What happens & when:
I have a GFD55GSPN0DG GAS dryer that is not heating well. When started the gas ignites, you can hear it run for about 10 seconds and then it cuts off and the drum continues to turn. When I measure the temp in the back wall of the dryer where the heat comes out it is about 110 degrees. This causes items if set to timed dry to eventually end up dry but after like 5 hours or more. The vent is clear and when running you can see it passing steam outside. I had the dryer apart for a bad drum wheel and while that was being fixed I cleaned out all orifices so I know the inside has no excessive lint. This was happening before I replace the bad wheel but thought the problem was associated with the wheel. The lint filter is getting full at the end of the cycle and is cleaned each load.
Error Code (if any):
I also entered maintenance mode and in T1 there were 3 errors I believe 10,16, and 6. I cleared them and they have not returned.
TIA / Regards,
David
