GE dishwasher needs to be primed to run

nEED HELP HERE PLEASE. Left washer idle for three months, upon our return. It would not put enough water in to get started. I opened the door and watched, I see water bubble but not enough pressure to raise the center wand. We put a large container of water inside (as to prime ) and it seemed to get it going. I closed the door and I could hear the center wand turning a spraying water. What could be the problem, it seems to go through all the cycles after we first prime it. Any help would be appreciate, thank you

You most likely have debris in the water line and fill valve screen.

Making for a slow, weak fill of water.

I would flush the water supply line to the fill valve and replace the valve,
if it were me.
