Main Symptom: Controls not functioning at 100%
What happens & when:
I ordered/received/replaced the Main control Board and UI board, as I had no function at all in the dishwasher. Parts were ordered this week at Appliance Parts Pro.
After replacing said boards, I am not getting 100% function on the display. Lights like the lower wash zone, steam dry, come on but no timer, no selection of type of wash is functioning. I have power at boards and power at door switch.
Did I get the correct boards when I ordered? WD21X31902C UI board, WD21X32163 main control board.
Error Code (if any): no error code
Parts or tests already tried: replaced main control board and UI board

If you have a multimeter handy, the wire harness running from the user interface control to the main control can be tested for continuity. It is common for this harness to develop a break in one of the wires, especially in the section that hinges with the door, where it can cause quite a few different failures to occur. Are talking from the interlock connection at the top of the door down to the plug in to the main control board? Or just the door harness from one end to the other, meaning I have to take everything apart again to get to the correct colored wires for the continuity check?
This would be the harness wires running from the user interface control to the the main control.
I did the three wires from the door interlock switch to the main board connectors with continuity showing in all three wires. The UI does not show the numbers on the display, all of the potential displays do not show, hitting the select cycle switch does not change all of the displays. To me it sounds like a programming error on main board or the program is not right for the model of dishwasher that I have. I have unplugged the power and unplugged the main board, let sit for 15 minutes, plugged it back in and the same response is shown as mentioned above.
The wires going to the door interlock switch would not need to be tested in this case. Instead, there should be a 5 wire connector going into the user interface control that leads down to a 10 wire connector going into the main control. These 5 wires are what would need to be tested for continuity.
