GE dishwasher doesn't drain completely

My GE dishwasher stopped draining completely. I saw another post where it was suggested to remove the bottom spray arm, run the dishwasher and once it fills do a reset to see if it drains. Removing the lower spray arm made no difference. It does drain some, but very little. I cleared out debris at the garbage dispsoal. I removed the fine filter and cleaned all around there. I removed the upper spray arm and the plastic screen on the bottom and cleaned underneath, but really didn’t find anything there. What esle should I try? Thanks.

No ideas? Anyone?

Since you mentioned a garbage disposal clog I would eliminate that as a possible cause.
Remove the drain line at the disposal and drain it into a pail.
Be sure to hold the drain line securely and put a towel over the pail so water does not splash all over.

If it now drains OK you still have a disposal problem.

If it does not drain OK you will have to check the drain path from the sump to the drain line..
Remove the sump cover and then empty it. Be careful as the sump often has broken glass in it. A sponge and a turkey baster should get most of the water out.
Then disassemble it and check for clogs or a bad flapper valve.
If all OK I would replace the drain pump.

Before restarting the unit be sure to put a couple qharts of water in it. Theses pumps do not like to run when dry, can burn up a seal.
