GE Dishwasher Control Panel Turns Itself Off and On Randomly Throughout the Day, Why?

Brand:GE
Model Number: GDF610PMJ0ES
Main Symptom: Control panel turns on and off throughout the day
What happens & when: Control panel is off after cycle is complete and randomly will make noise that the panel is turned back on and light up. Then it will shut off and later (variable intervals) will make the three beep “turning on” noise and light up again, stay on a while and then turn off. Repeats this behavior at random intervals unless unplugged. The dishwasher never starts a cycle randomly, only turns on the control panel.

Otherwise the dishwasher works perfectly well. My concern is that one of the control boards is going bad. I’m hoping it’s the UI board since that’s easier to get to. I need help figuring out what part I need to replace.

Note: I just found this problem described on another forum (many really but one had a unique workaround although likely temporary) and they turned “sabbath mode” on to stop the user panel from randomly turning on. I have no idea how long that will take care of the problem and realize there’s still likely an electronic issue with one of the boards.

Error Code (if any): None
Parts or tests already tried: None yet
Photos / video link: I can’t sit in front of the dishwasher and wait for this to happen in order to film it.

This issue sounds like it would be caused by a stuck key on the keypad. This would be a user interface issue.

None of the keys are stuck. If they were, I’d be able to visually see that and I wouldn’t be able to place it in “sabbath mode” because pressing any key overrides that.

Even if the keys do not appear to be stuck, there are buttons on the user interface that could stick and cause this issue.
