Brand:Jenn Air Model Number:S125 Main Symptom:Front right plate will not cycle when rear plate is turned on. What happens & when: Front plate works normally when rear plate is off. When rear plate is turned on (any temperature) front plate go’s to the highest temperature and does not cycle anymore.

With the way these things are set up it was going to be one of the infinite switches having a contact fused closed. The right front and right rear should use the same infinite switch part #, try putting that new infinite switch on the right rear and reinstalling the original right front infinite switch if you still have it.
Hi Rory, I did what you suggested and I got the original problem. Which was front right infinite switch would whenever turned on went to highest setting.
So this is what I’ve done.
Original infinite switch front right, new infinite in back right. Result front right go’s to high all the time, back right work normal.
Installed original back right switch to front right, operates normal. Back right has new infinite switch. Operates normal when front right is off.
This takes me back to the original problem but in reverse.
This has to be a switch issue of some kind, the only thing to those elements that bypasses the 2 right infinite switches is a jumper from the left side.
Make sure all the switches are off or the range is disconnected from power. Then go to the receptacle that connects to the right side elements where you should have blue, black, yellow, and red wires, disconnect that receptacle from the elements.
Once that’s disconnected you can repower the range.
With all of the elements turned off check the blue wire to chassis ground (bare metal on the body of the range) and/or a neutral wire. If you’ve got 120v AC there then the issue is actually with one of the switches on the left side.
If you don’t have that voltage, check black to ground or neutral. 120v here would mean one of the right side switches is stuck closed.
If that has no voltage you’ll then check red to ground or neutral. 120v on this one equals a bad right rear switch. Same for yellow except it would mean a bad right front switch instead.
If it comes down to getting voltage on the blue wire from the left side the checks are the same over there.
And finally, if ALL of that looks good then you’ve got a bad limiter in the infinite switch that wasn’t replaced originally.
