Dishwasher only works on one cycle by pushing the only button that works (start/cancel button). The display panel works fine, the dishwasher washes fine, but the upper switch panel options dont function. I opened it up and found the ribbon cable to the switch panel to be disconnected and thought that I figured it out. But after plugging in the display blinked w/ER & all indicator lights but no functionality from the washer. Unplugged the ribbon cable and back to one wash type of 94 min.
I figure the problem is the switch panel or main control board, but dont know which. I find it hard to believe the siwtches would go bad since they are a simple design, but when unplugged the unit operates. And I would think the control board wouldnt be bad as the unit does go through the complete washing cycle. I dont want to have to buy both as that would put me at 50%+ the cost of new unit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Al
Hi Al,
Unfortunately there are no any reliable instrumental tests recommended by the manufacturer for such situation. Due to very friendly APP return policy you may want to order both the control board and the switch, and then just return the unneeded part.

Thanks for your advice Gene. I really appreciate your quick response! The other half gave me the go-ahead to buy one part so I will go with the less expensive switch assy and hope I guessed correctly, unless you are leaning towards the controller… Thanks again, Al

Bobby,
I would like to suggest, you start your own thread in the REFRIGERATOR Repair section, using Post new topic button. Do not forget to post the complete model number of the refrigerator.
People will then see it is someone with a problem. This should increase your odds of getting a relevant reply.
