Frigidaire Frost Accumulate Near Supply Vents. Refrigerator section not cooling

Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FGHG2366PF7A
Main Symptom: Refrigerator section not cooling
What happens & when: Every 3 weeks there is frost accumulation in the Freezer section near the supply air vents just above the defrost coils. Since there are no coils in this area, frost accumulates. I turn off my fridge for 12 hours, ice melts and the fridge operates normally, only for the same problem to return in about 3 weeks. We got a repair specialist to review, he confirmed everything is in working order and is not able to solve the problem. I want to understand what is causing the frost accumulation in that area? Are there any solutions for this?

Would you please be able to help? This is such a peculiar case and my question is out of curiosity. The defrost system is working ok, Fan was recently replaced, Damper was replaced, Door gasket also visually looks to be a good shape (to nullify any air leakage possibility).

Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried: Damper ok, Fan ok, Defrost sensor ok.

The things that would cause this would be an air leak which sounds like you have already ruled out. The other thing would be an incomplete defrost which would likely be an issue with the defrost thermistor.

Thank you for your response. Would you be able to recommend what can I do to solve it? Who can help me? I spoke with two repair companies, both have given up which was quite strange. The fridge is normally working well, I do not want to discard it straight away.

I appreciate your guidance.

The air tower for this unit may also be icing up. If this is happening then there is a kit that you would want to get to install it. Here is a link to the kit number. It may say door panel but it is the kit that you would need. Frigidaire 5303918782 Refrigerator Panel, Refrigerator Door, Almond | Genuine OEM Part

Okay, thanks. I will check.
