My Dishwasher is a Frigidaire fdb1502rgb2 and is just over a year old I believe (can’t find the receipt).
I ran into a problem this morning and it seems to persist as the day goes on.
When I try to run a load the dishwasher fills partially with water but sounds like it might be draining at the same time it is filling. I made sure all the filters on the inside were cleaned out and then I opened the bottom and the overfill float is not engaged but the dishwasher won’t advance past the filling stage (except to drain).
It will try to do it a couple of times and when I have tried different types of washes it repeats the same issue.
Try unplugging/removing power from the unit for 5 minutes or so to see if it will reset.
It sounds like the control board may be shot.
You could check to see if the drain motor is getting voltage when you think is is draining. If it is then the control board is at the top of the list.
Everything in this unit simply runs on time. There is no feedback.
So it should fill, wash then drain (see the timing chart in the tech sheet) if not the control board must be messing up the timing.
You could also try the diagnostics (water service test)
ok, I killed the power at the fuse box for about an hour (had errands to run) came back and tried it replicated the same issue.
I then took my multimeter to it.
I will step you through what I am hearing/testing and what I think is the issue and you can let me know.
-Press start
-Dishwasher fills for correct time according to the chart you gave me (no draining and regular 7.3v on the drain motor)
-Place multimeter on circulation motor
-7.3v
-Dishwasher clicks at the top (assuming this is the control board)
-Circulation motor jumps to 123v and sits (no noise nothing)
-Dishwasher clicks again at the top
-Circulation motor drops back to 7.3v then repeats last couple steps a couple times
-Finally it gives up and drains at which time the drain motor makes noise and jumps to 123v
My best guess right now is that the Circulation motor has gone bad and is not actually kicking on.

Yes that is what it looks like.
And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause.
