Fridgidaire cycle stop

I have seen similiar post to this but all others said that they could manually advance the timer and it would start to work. Well when I manually adavance it doesn’t work.

I have a FRIGIDAIRE FDR252RBB2 dishwasher. it only works when the pots and pans push button is pushed in, it doesnt work at all when the normal wash button is in. Then when you start the cycle it stops after the first rinse and drain cycle and the timer knob and the machine in general stops working. Is this the timer problem

Sounds like the problem is a bad selector switch.

thanks Gene,

I know that probably the switch is faulty as the normal cycle button does not produce any results, but could it also be the timer as when the pots / pans button is pushed in it does go through 1 wash cycle? Does the switch control the timer functions too?

What does it do after that?

Gene.

After it goes through 1 wash cycle the timer stops and the machine stops. It seems like the timer is just never advancing past the first wash cycle.

Did you choose the “water heat” on or off? Does it make any difference?
