I know you can’t guarantee it, especially since it at least 12 years old, since its back working, would you guess that it will at least work for a while? or would you get a new one? thanks for all your help

Freezer thawing out today. Temp is about 38. Refrigerator is about 40.
has worked for about 3 weeks until today

Check if compressor and both fans are running.
Open the evaporator and look at the frost pattern.

I gave up. We lost over $150 in food last time it went out so I was afraid of that happening again. bought a new Frigadair, which is not made nearly as well as my old GE. I do appreciate your help
