Estate Refrigerator Ice Maker Problem

Water dispenser works, ice maker doesn’t. Motor runs and maker goes through it’s cycle, but no water fills the mold. I checked the fill tube from the water valve to the ice maker and it’s clear. Heater doesn’t seem to be working. L-N points read 120v, no voltage at the valve connection. Unplugged ice maker readings are as follows: T & H = 0 ohms; L & H = infinity (open). Is it a safe bet to replace just the motor module (#35 in the diagram) or do I need to replace the entire ice maker kit? Is there anything else I need to check? How do I verify that the valve is good? Also, I saw a manual posted for an in-door Whirlpool ice-maker. Is there one for my ice maker as well?

Hello.

To check the water valve simply switch around the plugs at the valve and push in the dispenser lever.
If the water going in to the ice maker it’s not the water valve.
That leaves the ice maker itself.
I recommend to replace the hole ice maker, because it make sense to have a brand new unit under warranty instead of replacing it part by part.

In case you need the water inlet valve here it is.

You can find it at the diagram #7, part#10.
