Estate Dishwasher not pumping out

My Background: My father was an appliiance repairman, worked for himself and I helped him from about age 8, uso i know just enough to be dangerous.

I have an Estate diswasher (junk but it is what was in the house when I bought it).

It is not pumping out. I took the pump assembly apart, no visable damage, no clogged hoses, the impeller looks good (no visible damage to it either), the motor seems to be operating properly, I have not replaced any parts as of yet, no sense in throwing parts at it.

I am thinking it may be the diapham? although it looks ok?
any suggestions on what to look for next or maybe I am missing something?

Thank you in advance

What does the drain look like? Is the disposer (if that’s what the machine drains into) clear?

yeah seems clear, I could blow air through the hose all the way to the air gap, but I will definatly check it again this evening

I was wondering also about the motor, maybe not spinning fast enough? I am assuming the diapham is activated by the vacuum from the impeller. I had though that maybe some “gunk” had gotten clogged up in the pump itself is why I had taken it apart in the first place.
Also, my young est daughter “did the dishes” not too long before this started and used dish washing detergent instead of dishwasher detergent. got soap suds all over the kitchen, reckon that would have anything to do with it?

Aha! May be some soap residue left in there. Try running a dishless load, just using hot water and see if that helps.

I will try that but when I had it apart I’m pretty sure I cleaned all the parts, but I will try that tonight, Thank you for talking with me on this matter!
