Main Symptom: Dryer makes noise when running
What happens & when: This is a stacked laundry unit, with the washing machine located below and the dryer above. The dryer began experiencing an issue three days ago; initially, the noise was faint and occurred only intermittently, but now it has become very loud and persists throughout every cycle. The sound resembles the rushing of wind, or perhaps the friction of metal parts rubbing against one another. I observed that the dryer operates normally for the first minute or two after starting; then, a faint noise begins, gradually increasing in volume until the loud noise becomes constant. I have cleaned every accessible area—thoroughly removing all accumulated lint—yet the noise persists. The only time the noise ceases is when I attempt to physically move the machine. On one occasion, after I gave it a push, the noise vanished; however, within a minute or two, it returned.
