Pulled Drier away from wall along with discharge hose. The Electric Ing heats up and burner comes on with a Blue Flame but yellow on tips of flame. Burner comes on and off as heat builds up like it should. So we put the Exhaust hose back onto wall and pushed it back into place. Now the elect. Ing. lights up but gas will not come on. We are using Natural Gas. I also noticed that on the burner where you can adjust the air their is an LP stamped onto it. Does this mean the burner is for LP gas? Just by chance we got it to light and work correctly? If it is now for LP gas what do I need to convert it, if it can be converted. I was also wondering if it is because we may have cut off some of the air flow when we pushed it back to the wall. I really don’t think this is the case but then what?
Hi.
How long do you have your dryer for?
If you had it for long time and it use to work OK replace the control coils kit.Make sure that air ducts inside and outside the dryer are clean of lint.

I forgot to mention that I just got the Dryer from a Garage Sale. My biggest concern is that it’s LP and not Natural Gas because on the burner near the air ajustment the is a LP stamped on it but not sure what that would mean. Also seems strange that when we pulled it away from the wall it worked OK. Wondering if it would not get enough air movement to the outside if it shuts down the gas valve. Seems strange that when away from the wall it seems to work but when the accordian style duct going to the outside is pushed together tightly that the unit will not light. Is it a flow restriction problem? Or in fact is it an LP burner and needs to be a Natural Gas burner?
Hi.
Does the stamp LP is on the orifice at the tip of the gas valve or on the burner?
If it’s on the orifice you would need to replace it.
Run the dryer without the vent attached to it.The blocked air vent may cause the “short cycling” but not “no heat” situation.
The week control coils will fail to open the gas after the short time.

Simon.
Got the dryer fixed. Worked very hard but got the vent to go directly to the outside and it is now working fine. Thanks for all the help and suggestions. It’s really nice to have so many people to help with a situation. Thanks everyone.
