Unit doesnt drain completely. Completes cycle, but 2 inches H20 left. Drain/vent is not issue. Motor sounds fine and works in all cycles. Thinking about replaciing impellor assembly verses replacing dishwasher.
There is always 2 plus inches of soapy water left in bottom. Drain/vent is good. How do I check to see what I need and how difficult is replacing impellors etc. Motor runs and seems to pump some, no water below in motor area. Disconnect drain hose and run in a bucket?..how should it pump? Any special tools to install impellor kit? Im pretty mechanical, but just not sure what I need for parts. All cycles and motor run great. Show me the way so I can stop washing by hand…

Does the dishwasher, wash the dishes ?
Did you disconnect the drain hose at the disposal, blow in it, then run the drain cycle ? You may have a clog or kink in the hose.
The impeller kit
Would be a good guess, and the next logical check and repair.
There are no special tools required(really) but make sure the motor reverses direction(a remote possibility) . You can check for 120 VAC on the gray wire to chassis ground, at the start of the drain cycle to make sure the problem is not in the control board.
