Dryer not heating and need to turn off manually

Dryer does not heat and you have to turn off manually also my husband changed the ignitor and it still does not heat and you still have to turn off manually:confused:

Can you be more specific? Does it mean the timer is not advancing?

The timer does advance to the off position but does not turn off
