All of a sudden the dryer will not start. When the door is closed I can still see that the light is on when I remove the lint door. Why would the light stay on? I thought the on off switch was broke but that confuses me. HELP!

if the light is staying on the appliance is not recognizing the door is closed and will not allow the machine to start ( for safety issue’s )
