Dishwasher door does not open robotically anymore. When opened it will crash down to the open position with no spring resistance. Some part failed. Which is it and how is the best way for me to replace it?

Take a look at section 7.
Often the cable link can break Item 24.
You may be able to see what has happened by removing the kick plate and taking a look.
You will probably have to pull the unit out from under the counter 6 inches or so.
