Have a 6 year old Bosch SHY56A dishwasher that show 1 in the display
and will not shutoff. In addition, water stays in the bottom of the dishwasher and doesn’t pump out. Repairman says it’s the water inlet valve and the latch??? Any suggestions?

Yes, it keeps running. I can’t tell what cycle it’s on.
The display reads “1”
Model number is SHY56A05UC/14.

Very likely the problem is a bad control unit.
