Dishwasher won't fill

I had a repair guy who said the water valve was broken on my portable dishwasher. He came back with the part, replaced it after fumbling around with it for 45 min, as he couldn’t remember how it went back together, only to have the same problem continue. He did not test it for continuity, so there’s no way he could say it was bad, though he tried to tell me it was but that there was something else bad as well. Anyway, I did a test, I hooked the hose valve up to the kitchen faucet, and the bottom of the hose I left disconnected and let the water run into a bucket, but there was barely water coming through. Is there a way to replace the contraption that connects to the faucet? is that the problem? or could there be a kink or clog in the hose somewhere? Please help. This repair guy is a fool. He isn’t coming back again and I was refunded for his incompetent diagnosis.

The hose and connector is Item 15 in Section 1.

It does sound like that is your problem.
I would check it first to see if they have a screen filter somewhere in the hose that is partially plugged.

If the tech was fumbling around, there is a good possibility that he put you old valve back on. I never had to replace a hose assembly on a portable dishwasher. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Just to clarify that I understand what you did.

You disconnected the water supply line at the water valve and ran it into a pail.
You then had a very low flow.

If this is correct then your problem has to be in the hose assembly.
It could be the hose has de-laminated internally and is blocking the flow or that the valve inside the faucet connection is operating correctly.
