Dishwasher won't fill

I removed my dishwasher for a remodeling project. The machine was stored in the next room for 2 weeks. I reinstalled it, new supply lines and such. The machine seems to go through it’s cycle, but it’s not getting water. I disconnected the water line at the machine and ran the water to see if it’s at least getting to the machine, and it is. Maytag told me to check the float to see if it’s stuck. Haven’t tried it yet, but if it’s not that, how do I check to see if it’s the valve or anything else?

Take a look at the filter screen on the input side of the water valve.
Clean it if it needs it could be your remodeling knocked some crud in the lines loose and it clogged the screen.
Do not remove the screen it is there to keep crud out of the valve which would hold it open and cause a flood.

If it is not that or the overflow (Float) switch, check that the valve is getting 120 volts when it should.

If it is and still no water the valve is shot.
