Just installed the dishwasher, install went smooth. Water enters the machine for 30 seconds then stops.
Machine seems to cycle, with detergent door openeing and unit hot inside, but with no water.

Am a little confused, you say it gets water but the runs dry!!
Please describe the problem a little better.
Does it fill with water and the water just drains out? Is it pumped out? etc.
Need what is happening step by step.
Does it fill with water and do the first rinse/wash cycle OK but does not fill for the second wash cycle?
Is your drain looped up above where it enters the house plumbing?
What is the water level after it fills the first time?
Note the fill cycle is done just on time, usually it fills to just below the heating coil.
It only lets water in for the first 30 seconds or so, then stops. I know this because I can hear it and when I open the door I can see it drain out if I am fast enough. It never completley fills and the wash cycle never starts at least the arms do not seems to be spinning. I have left the arms in a certain position and they are at the same position when I open the door. The detergent door opens and spills the powder into the tub, but it isnt wet. The machine heats up and the clean lite illuminates at about the time as the cycle should end - about 55 minutes.
